Welcome to Hindley Green Family Church

Hindley Green Family Church has a vision to reach the people of our town with the "good news" of Jesus Christ.

HGFC meets at the community centre known for decades as the Bethel.  We also make it available to a variety of other groups. We believe the spiritual life of the community should be its foundation and that God is also interested in the social, political, educational, environmental, economical aspects of our lives.

We believe that the family is God's plan and the best foundation for a successful community. So we aim to serve  families and have creche, children's church and youth groups where the young people can learn that they have an important role in church and society.  The Bible also says "He sets the lonely in families" and we welcome single people and aim to look after them too.

We believe that whatever has happened in our past, however sinful we may have been God is still our Father and wants His children to come home. The repentant heart always finds forgiveness through Christ and so we must forgive one another too.

Our hope for the future of our nation is for our children to be taught to know, respect and worship God through His son Jesus Christ and to respect and love their neigbour too.

God's plan is for a better future.

As we talk to people in our area they tell us they are feeling more isolated, fearful and hopeless than at any time in our great country's history. They realise now that the secular ideas that have permeated society for the past 4 decades were not the answer, they have clearly failed, and there is a growing hunger to get back to the ancient truths of the Bible.

Jesus is interested in you, in the man in the street, the man in the pub, the homeless person and the fallen women as well as the hard working, tax-paying pillars of the community. And His interest has always been to pick people up and help them to enjoy a better life. He came to destroy all the works of wickedness and that includes sickness, depravity, addiction, poverty, lonliness and slavery to money. Jesus said you can't worship both God and money and so there is a clear choice for all of us. Having said that, the Bible also says "My God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus."
